The position will work out of Wyong Shire Council
Chambers and operates within our Corporate Services
providing a rewarding and stimulating work environment,
supported by a strong team and management.
Building a better team
The Traineeship will be for a period of three years
and a TAFE Certificate II in Information Technology
is a pre-requisite for the position. It is a requirement
of the position that the Trainee I&CT successfully
completes a TAFE Certificate III (IT) after the first
year, a Certificate IV (IT) after the second year
and a Diploma in Information Technology at the end
of the third year of the traineeship. The Trainee
Information and Communications Technology (I&CT)
will be a member of Council’s Information and
Communication Technology Section. The I&CT Section
encompasses the operations of Helpdesk, Desktop Administration,
Network Administration, Infrastructure Administration,
I&CT Projects and GIS. The I&CT Section carries
out the functions related to the management and operation
of Council’s Information and Communication
systems.
