| Residents
forums
A residents forum is held when required,
between 4:30pm and 5.00pm on the same day as each Ordinary
Meeting of Wyong Shire Council.
Two speakers per forum, representing
either themselves or groups, may address Councillors
and senior staff for a maximum of ten minutes, including
questions that may be asked by Councillors. Should
more than two speakers register,
the Mayor will determine which two will address the
forum.
The issue under submission must either come within
Council's jurisdiction, or propose that Council make
appropriate representations to the relevant authority
in support of an issue, not within Council's jurisdiction.
Any submissions on resolutions of
Council within the proceeding three months will not
be heard by the forum.
Any submission on reports before or to be shortly
brought before Council will be referred to the Invited
Speakers
item at the relevant Ordinary Meeting.
A quorum of six Councillors and at
least one registered speaker will be required for the
forum to proceed.
Councillors need to indicate their intention
to attend the forum by close of business on Tuesday.
Should less than six Councillors
indicate that they will be able to attend, then
the forum will be cancelled.
All requests to address a forum
will be forwarded to the Mayor for consideration.
Requests will be received
up until close of business on the Monday before
the scheduled Ordinary Meeting. The forum will be cancelled
if there are no requests to speak.
No person or group can be heard
more than once in a three month period.
Bookings may be made on (02)
4350 5211.
