Councils
In the important areas of youth
and seniors policy, Wyong Shire Council is assisted
by advisory councils drawn from local communities. See

Wyong Shire Youth
Advisory Council is designed to provide a link between
Wyong Shire Council and young people of the shire.
Ranging
in age from 12 to 19, the youth representatives
include school, TAFE and University students and
come from
various cultural backgrounds. Leadership conference
In 2007, members
of the Wyong Youth Advisory Council attended the
Australian Student Leadership Conference.
The conference aimed to help participants
set achievable goals; create a support network;
and identify
strategies to address global and local issues
Chris Adams, Nicole Flood, Sarah
Elrick and Nirvana Zibarrah represented the youth council
at the conference.
Shire bus tour
Soon after the council was established, members toured
the area by bus. Some of
