Tom Stone Preschool and Children's Centre recognises
that early childhood is an important stage of life
for both parents and children.
Staff endeavour to support
children and their families during this time through
the provision of high quality child care and support
services.
The centre is located off the main Wyong Road in a
quiet, natural bush setting. Recent refurbishments,
combined with experienced and trained staff, ensure
that the learning environment for your children is
inviting, safe and stimulating.
The centre features two main rooms – for 0-3
year olds and for 3-5 year olds. Each room has qualified
and experienced staff who work to provide quality play
and learning experiences which allow the children to
achieve success in a safe and challenging environment.
The centre also offers a comprehensive school readiness
program for older children to help ensure their transition
to school is a smooth one for the whole family. This
program is implemented by qualified and experienced
staff to ensure maximum benefit.
Parents are invited to visit the centre, have a look
around and talk to staff about their activities.
This "open door" policy means they are
welcome at the centre at any time.
The centre takes its name, ‘Tom Stone’,
from a generous former local resident. Mr Tom Stone
bequeathed the land to Council with the instruction
that it be used for the benefit of children in the
community. The pre-school and children’s centre
was subsequently built on the land in 1984.
