Services
The Community Services Section is part of Wyong Council’s
Corporate and Community Services Department. The role
of the Community Services Section is to undertake community
development activities and projects which will support
local residents to build community cohesion and promote
community well being.
We endeavour to build communities from the inside out,
that is identifying the unique combination of assets
upon which to build the future. Individuals, groups
and services have gifts, talents and skills which can
be mobilised for community building purposes.

we work to enhance the linkages, partnerships, support
and connections between all the stakeholders in the
local area.
The four planning areas are:

The Youth Development Officer focuses on issues related
to young people aged 12-24 years across the whole of
the Shire.
The Welcome Facilitator works in the new release area
of Watanobbi and welcomes new residents into the community
through a range of activities and events.
The Parenting Program Coordinator’s role is to
link young parents with child care services so they
can enhance their parenting skills and learn about child
development and behaviour. Find out about parenting
services and programs.
The Aged and Disability Worker provides information
and resources for older residents, people with disabilities
and their carers across the Wyong Shire. Find out about
services for senior
