Wyong-Tuggerah plan adopted

A plan to guide the future of the Wyong-Tuggerah area has been adopted by Council.

Council will now be able to push ahead with implementing the draft strategy for the area which runs from the old dairy site next to the F3 at Tuggerah to the Wyong Town Centre.

Detailed planning for the Wyong river foreshore and the Baker Park sporting complex are first on the agenda. Both will be partly funded by Council’s 2007-2008 Management Plan.

A total of 21 submissions were received to the six week public exhibition of the strategy. Council staff also presented the strategy to the Wyong/Tuggerah Chamber of Commerce where it was well received by more than 100 local business people.
