Project update: Enjoy improved Terilbah Reserve

Hard work by Coastcare TEN volunteers, Green Corps and Wyong Shire Council paid off with improvements to Terilbah Reserve.Improvements to Terilbah reserve, Tuggerah Lakes

Walkers, bike riders and picnickers can now enjoy the environmental benefits of the $30,000 program, which has created a greater range of native species and a better quality habitat to attract fauna to the reserve.

Bush regeneration work on 2.2 hectares has replaced noxious Weeds such as Bitou bush and Lantana have been replaced with native wattles, paperbacks, sedges and rushes on the 2.2 hectare site.

This project is part of the Tuggerah Lakes Estuary Management Plan, which is assisted by an Australian Government Caring for Country grant of $20 million.
