Project update: Enjoy improved
Terilbah Reserve
Hard work by Coastcare TEN volunteers, Green
Corps and Wyong Shire Council paid off with
improvements to Terilbah Reserve.
Walkers, bike riders and picnickers can now enjoy
the environmental benefits of the $30,000 program,
which has created a greater range of native species
and a better quality habitat to attract fauna to the
reserve.
Bush regeneration work on 2.2 hectares has replaced
noxious Weeds such as Bitou bush and Lantana have been
replaced with native wattles, paperbacks, sedges and
rushes on the 2.2 hectare site.
This project is part of the Tuggerah Lakes Estuary
Management Plan, which is assisted by an Australian
Government Caring for Country grant of $20 million.
