Clean Up Australia Day is just around the corner.

And, as usual, hundred of thousands of people across the nation are expected clean up their local environment by collecting and removing rubbish.

This year's event will be held on Sunday March 2. Schools Clean Up day will be Friday 29 February.

Individuals or groups can get involved by joining a clean-up site.

To date, Clean Up Australia Day participants throughout the country have collected over 200,000 tonnes of rubbish which is equal to 4.7 million household wheelie bins.

Chemical clean Up
On March 2, a chemical clean up will be held in Wyong Shire. See how you can take advantage of the clean up to remove those old chemicals from your shed or garage.
