show smashes record
Record
entries were received for Wyong’s annual
photographic show.
In its seventh year, the show attracted more than
650 photos – at least 200 above the record set
in 2007.
Wyong Shire Council holds the photographic competition
and exhibition to promote art and culture on the NSW
Central Coast. See

Entries were show at Wyong’s
civic centre for a week from Saturday, March 15, with
the exception of the Good Friday holiday.
This year’s
event carried more than $2,000 in prizemoney. First
place earned $1,000, with second
receiving $600 and third position earning $400. As
well, the winners of the six sub-categories – Landscapes;
Flora and fauna; black and white; abstract; people;
and primary and high school students – each
received $100. See

The photographic competition was a highlight of
the annual Central
Coast Festival of the Arts, which
traditionally
attracts big crowds and work by some of the nation's
finest artists.
