In its seventh year, the show attracted more than 650 photos – at least 200 above the record set in 2007.

Wyong Shire Council holds the photographic competition and exhibition to promote art and culture on the NSW Central Coast. See additional information.

Entries were show at Wyong’s civic centre for a week from Saturday, March 15, with the exception of the Good Friday holiday.

This year’s event carried more than $2,000 in prizemoney. First place earned $1,000, with second receiving $600 and third position earning $400. As well, the winners of the six sub-categories – Landscapes; Flora and fauna; black and white; abstract; people; and primary and high school students – each received $100. See the winners including Sydney's Annette Blattman (shown) who took out the main award.

The photographic competition was a highlight of the annual Central Coast Festival of the Arts, which traditionally attracts big crowds and work by some of the nation's finest artists.
